Ben Grey is a former Starfleet officer dishonorably discharged for disobeying orders during the Dominion War. He becomes the head of logistics and transportation, responsible for overseeing the movement of people, equipment, and supplies to and from the colony. He takes his role very seriously, seeing it as a chance to make up for his past mistakes.
Ben Grey grew up in a family with a long history of Starfleet service. His father and grandfather both served as Starfleet officers, and Ben always knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps. He was an exemplary student at the Academy and graduated with honors, earning a commission as an officer in Starfleet.
After several successful assignments, Ben was assigned to a deep-space mission during the Dominion War. His ship was tasked with gathering intelligence on Dominion movements and activities, but they were quickly overwhelmed by a surprise attack from a Jem’Hadar warship. In the chaos of battle, Ben made the decision to disobey orders and launch a counter-attack, against the orders of his commanding officer. The counter-attack was successful, but several of Ben’s fellow officers were killed in the process. The incident was investigated and Ben was found guilty of insubordination and disobeying orders. He was dishonorably discharged from Starfleet and left with a deep sense of shame and regret.
Feeling lost and without a clear purpose, Ben wandered from planet to planet, taking on odd jobs to make ends meet. It wasn’t until he stumbled upon the colony on Frontiers that he felt he had found a place where he could make a difference. Initially, Ben was hired on as a security guard, but it quickly became clear that his skills and experience could be put to better use elsewhere. He was appointed as the head of logistics and transportation, responsible for overseeing the movement of people, equipment, and supplies to and from the colony.
Ben takes his role very seriously, seeing it as a chance to make up for his past mistakes and ensure the safety and well-being of the colony. He is efficient, organized, and detail-oriented, and is always looking for ways to improve the flow of resources and make the colony more self-sufficient. However, he can be somewhat reserved and standoffish, still feeling the sting of his past failure, and has trouble opening up to others. Despite this, he has earned the respect of most of his colleagues and is seen as an important member of the team.
